Happy weekend! Today I thought I would chat about some of my affordable beauty favourites and some i didnt get along with!
Starting with hits, The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid is a real winner! A lightweight serum type formula that glides onto the skin seamlessly without feeling heavy or sticky. I love this under my moisturiser day and night as it really boosts hydration when I need it! Ive also been loving the L’Oreal Plumping Tinted Serum lately too, it also contains hyaluronic acid and its a lovely light coverage foundation thats great for everyday wear. It doesnt cling to dry patches and it wears really well on the skin throughout the day. Two loves from Elf are rhe Glossy Lip Stains, lovely easy wearing texture that leaves behind a light stain once the glossy has faded and the Water Droplet Balm. I found this cream in TKMaxx recently but I have since realised it is discontinued! For eyeshadow I really enjoy the Morphe Jaclyn Hill Divine Neutrals palette, a neutral brown colour selection with nice, easy to blend formulas. The NYX Suede Lipsticks are my favourite matte formula, creamy and smooth without being too drying on the lips. Lastly my favourite budget beauty pick right now is the St Moriz face and body Tanning Mist. This is the perfect last step in my skincare routine throughout the summer, it adds a lovely colour and doesnt feel sticky or heavy on the face and doesnt aggravate my acne!
A few misses for me, the Got2b Brow Gel, really doesn’t hold my brows in place and leaves them feeling very crispy. The W7 Absolute Lashes mascara, looks like a dupe for the Benefit favourite but really had a strange wet formula that doesn’t add any length or volume but instead leaves a barely there effect. Lastly the Natural Collection Liquid Eyeliner, has a horrible applicator and stings my eyes, as well as flaking off my lids throughout the day.
