Vieve. Okay so I’ve watched Jamie on YouTube for an incredibly long time. When she released her makeup line, I was definitely a little skeptical. So many YouTubers launch cosmetics lines and a lot of them end up with poor reviews or not taking off as they are a fad or a quick money grab. Fortunately Jamies line (Vieve) is incredible and already very well respected in the makeup world. Cult Beauty (my fav place to shop all things beauty) are already on board with the brand and they frequently have offers and incentives which make the brand even more appealing.
My first purchases were the Nova Glow Highlighter and the Sunset blush. Firstly the highlighter is incredible, I’ve recently become more of a fan of cream products, but this powder highlighter in blindingly beautiful. I have the shade Holy Chic which is a beautiful shade with a golden undertone. This isn’t amazing on my pale skin but when I have a tan is looks incredible. Jamie always has a beautiful glow about her skin and this highlighter fully embodies that. Its shiny and glowy without looking glittery or chunky on the skin, even though in the pan it looks like it would be. It blends very seamlessly and a little really goes a long way. I have the blush in the shade Cherub which is a beautiful pink with a hint of coral. Its the kind of shade I can wear all year round and it looks lovely wether I’m super pale or wether I have a tan. Its very pigmented but blend-able at the same time so you can really choose how intense you want your look to be. I definitely want to pick ip more of these as its my favourite powder blush I own currently.
Next I wanted to try some lip products to see what all the hype was about. The Modern Matte Lipstick in the shade Vieve is the perfect nude for me. It has a brown undertone but its not too pale that it washes me out. These are incredibly comfortable to wear on the lips, as long as I apply a lipbalm before hand. They are seriously long wearing too, espcially when paired witht he Modern Lip Definer in Velvet Sands. The lip pencil is also a lovely formula, firm enough that it wears well all day, but soft enough that it deposits just the right amount of product and applies smoothly and precisely. This combination is a win win for me when I want a classic nude lip.
By this point Vieve had already won me over as a brand, but I wanted to give their eye wands a go. I’m not hugely into picking up eyeshadow palettes these days, unless the colour story really ticks my boxes, so I haven’t felt the need to try and of the eye palettes as of yet. These eye wands are really rather beautiful though, and I really don’t have anything quite like them in my collection. I have the regular Eye Wand in the shade Camel, which is a lovely warm toned brown. This formula is highly pigmented but super blend-able, meaning it can be applied and used to create a gorgeous look or used as a base for other products. After around five minutes they set into place and genuinely don’t move all day, making them long wearing and perfect if you are travelling and need a hassle free wash of colour to your eyes. The Shimmer eye wand in Blush Quartz is equally as beautiful, with a similar formula but a beautiful metallic finish. I love pairing these two together for a beautiful every day makeup look.
I think I might actually be obsessed with Vieve, have you tried any of their products?
